Built to be trusted with every dollar.
Kashu moves money on regulated, bank-backed rails, with verification, encryption, and monitoring at every step. Here is exactly how your money stays protected.
Four layers between your money
and a bad actor.
Protection isn't a single wall. It's a set of independent layers working together, from where your funds are held to how every transfer is screened in real time.
Segregated, insured custody
Funds are held in segregated, FDIC-insured custody with our regulated banking partners.
Verified before a dollar moves
Every business clears KYB and CIP verification, with beneficial-owner, control-person, and OFAC sanctions screening, before any money is allowed to move.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Data is protected with TLS 1.2+ in transit and AES-256 at rest, across every screen, request, and transfer, with least-privilege access internally.
Watched around the clock
Transactions are screened continuously against program rules and risk models, with anomalies flagged and acted on in real time, every hour of every day.
Protection, engineered into every payment.
These are the controls working behind every Kashu transaction. Not bolt-on add-ons, but how the platform is built.
Real-time fraud controls
Every payment is scored the instant it arrives, against velocity limits, your custom rules, and machine-learning signals, then approved, held, or declined in milliseconds.
- Velocity & pattern checks
- Configurable rules
- ML anomaly scoring
Card data is replaced, never stored raw
The moment a card enters Kashu, the real number is swapped for a vaulted token. The actual PAN never touches our systems or yours, so there is nothing useful to steal.
- PCI DSS Level 1 vault
- Network tokens
- Reusable for repeat pay
Every payment takes the safest, highest-success path
Our routing engine evaluates each transaction in real time and sends it down the rail with the best authorization rate and lowest risk, with automatic failover if one path stalls.
- Auth-rate optimization
- Least-cost routing
- Automatic failover

Payments run on the Visa network itself
Kashu connects directly to Visa Acceptance Platform, Visa's own secure processing platform. Card payments are carried over Visa's network-grade infrastructure, with the encryption, reliability, and oversight that comes with it.
- Direct Visa connectivity
- Network-grade encryption
- Tier-1 reliability
Only you can approve a movement of money
Sensitive actions are protected by device biometrics, Face ID or fingerprint, so a password alone is never enough to move your funds.
- Face ID & Touch ID
- Device binding
Kashu never holds your money. We just make sure it always lands where it should.
We're a software platform, not a bank. Your funds stay in segregated, FDIC-insured custody with our regulated banking partners. Our job is to verify, watch, and route every transfer, so your money goes exactly where you send it, and nowhere else.
Standards and safeguards.
Kashu operates on licensed financial rails and runs a documented compliance program. The safeguards below are part of how the platform works, every day.
Regulated money movement
Transfers are processed by a licensed, FinCEN-registered money-services partner on bank-backed rails.
Anti-money-laundering program
A documented AML program with ongoing transaction monitoring and suspicious-activity procedures.
Identity verification
A Customer Identification Program verifies every business, its beneficial owners, and control persons.
Sanctions screening
Continuous screening against OFAC and global watchlists at onboarding and on an ongoing basis.
Data protection
Encryption in transit and at rest, with least-privilege internal access and audit logging.
Incident readiness
Defined procedures for detecting, escalating, and responding to security and fraud incidents.
Money transmission and custody are provided by Kashu's licensed banking and money-services partners. Kashu is a software and technology provider and does not itself take deposits or transmit money.
Staying safe is a team effort.
We run the platform with industry-leading safeguards. The strongest one is a careful you. Switch between the everyday habits that keep you safe and the steps to take the moment something feels off.
01Never use someone else's information+
Only use your own verified payment methods. Don't enter another person's card or connect a bank account that isn't yours. Violations may result in account closure.
02Be mindful of your spend+
Keep track of how much you move through your card. If something feels off, pause and double-check before you proceed. Staying in control is the best way to avoid mistakes or unwanted fees.
03Verify suspicious activity+
If your bank reaches out to confirm a purchase, take it seriously. Confirm the transaction with Kashu Support, and never ignore fraud alerts. They are often your first warning sign.
04Watch out for social engineering+
Never share your login or verification codes. Kashu will never ask for your password. Be cautious of anyone offering to move money for you in exchange for fees, favors, or access.
05Keep your devices secure+
Use strong, unique passwords and update them regularly. Enable biometric logins like Face ID or fingerprint, and avoid public Wi-Fi when moving large sums of money.
06Spot the red flags+
Be wary of unexpected requests to "test" a transaction for someone else, offers that sound too good to be true, and high-pressure tactics pushing you to move money quickly.
